Auto re-balance your portfolio

Automatic Fund Rebalancing allows you to keep your portfolio holdings in line with your investment strategy. With this feature, your portfolio will be automatically adjusted to match your chosen fund allocation at each policy anniversary of your investment-linked policy.

What you need to know

  • We encourage you to evaluate your risk tolerance, investment goals and investment time horizon before making an investment decision.
    • If you need help reviewing the suitability of your investment, or if you do not have a valid Customer Knowledge Assessment (CKA), please get in touch with your Representative who can assist you on your request.
    • If you have passed your CKA and do not wish to receive advice on your investment choices, you may submit your instructions by logging in to our secure customer portal, MyManulife.
  • Please note that the fund allocation used to activate the Automatic Fund Rebalancing option must match the premium allocation of the policy.
  • If your policy has a trust arrangement, you may refer to the FAQ below for more information.

Instructions

1. Log into your account via MyManulife.

2. Click on the "Servicing" tab, followed by "Automatic fund rebalancing & Change premium allocation".

3. Follow the instructions on the page to guide you through the process for Automatic Fund Rebalancing.


FAQs

If your policy has a trust arrangement, please download and complete the Fund Switch/Premium Redirection/Auto-Rebalancing Form

Once the form has been completed and signed by the relevant parties, please email the form to us at forms@manulife.com for further processing.

For a Trust policy under S49L, either of the following parties must sign the form:

  • Policyowner and any one Trustee (excluding the Policyowner), or
  • All Beneficiaries (each Beneficiary must be at least 18 years old)

For a Trust policy under S73, the Policyowner and all Trustees must sign on the form.

A fund switch allows you to transfer existing amounts from one fund to another for your investment-linked policy.
