I joined Manulife as a fresh graduate in 1996, driven by the desire to build a lifelong, rewarding career. It was after the disbursement of my first claim that I truly understood the weight and significance of my work. That particular claim played a pivotal role in saving a family business from financial calamity, preserving not only the family's well-being but also the livelihoods of shareholders and employees.
Aside from sales accolades, my proudest moments revolve around helping my clients get their claims disbursement. No matter the claims are related to death or critical illness, it reinforces the noble work we do.
On a personal level, I empathise with my clients' grief and loss. Life is unpredictable, and what we have right now is this opportunity and time. We must plan, prepare contingencies, and cherish every moment we are given.
